This Machame Route Itinerary is designed for adventurous travelers who want to experience the most scenic path to the Roof of Africa. Known as the ‘Whiskey Route,’ it is legendary for its stunning scenery and high success rate.
At Climb Kilimanjaro and Tanzania Safaris, we specifically recommend the 7-day variation. Why? Because it allows your body more time to “climb high and sleep low,” which is the secret to beating altitude sickness and reaching Uhuru Peak with a smile.

Why Choose the 7-Day Machame Route?
- Superior Acclimatization: The extra day at Karanga Valley is a game-changer for your safety.
- Breathtaking Views: Experience diverse ecosystems, from lush rainforests to alpine deserts.
- High Success Rate: Our 7-day treks boast a 98% summit success rate.
