Overview
The Marangu Route is Kilimanjaro’s oldest and most established path. Known for its relative comfort, it is the only route that offers dormitory-style hut accommodation with solar-powered lighting and comfortable mattresses. The trail winds through vibrant rainforests, high-altitude heather, and eventually the alpine desert before reaching the icy summit. This 6-day version includes a vital acclimatization day at Horombo Hut, significantly increasing your chances of reaching Uhuru Peak at 5,895m.
